The Safe Haven
The Safe Haven, facility is a refuge for hard-to-reach homeless (or chronic homeless), who have experienced repeated and/or extended bouts of homelessness in our community.  This facility, which opened late 2006, houses 4 men plus a resident staff member.  It is expected that some of those who have been housed by the winter relief program each year will progress to this permanent housing facility where they will be expected to contribute a proportion of their income towards rent.  Contact: Mario berninzoni, Exective Director at 410-863-4888.

The Wish House, (Women in Safe Haven) In December of 2007 Arundel House of Hope opened the first permanent affordable housing program for single adult homeless women in Anne Arundel County.  Through the generous support of member organizations they secured a single family home in Brooklyn Park that houses up to five chronically homeless women and a resident manager.  This program is structured to provide a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where women experiencing homelessness can work on addressing their most pressing issues, eventually leading to self-sufficiency and independence!  Contact: Mario Berninzoni, Exective Director at 410-863-4888.
