SARAH’S HOUSE provides two supportive housing programs for homeless families in our county (many times as many as 60 children are living at Sarah’s House). The Shelter Program assists men, women and families to manage the crises that bring them to Sarah’s House. A structured program with group meals helps begin positive change. The Transitional Housing Program builds on the beginnings made in the Shelter by extending the time and support necessary for a family to establish an independent, self-sustained life. Periodic special projects are done to support Sarah’s House. Contact: Shelia McPhee. There is always a need for tutors. Volunteer directly with Sarah’s House by contacting Bruce Clopein, Volunteer Coordinator 410-551-7722. http://www.catholiccharities-md.org/Community/sarahshouse.html.
