Why Christian Education?

Deuteronomy's great commandment says, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise." (Deut. 6:5-7) Grounded in Scripture, the historic and traditional commitment of the Presbyterian Church to education, and our best understanding of how persons grow in faith, we offer classes and programs to all our children that they may come to an ever-deepening understanding of their relationship with God in Christ.

How Can I Get Involved

Perhaps you thought you could never be a Sunday School teacher. Think again! All you need is a love for God and the willingness to express that love for God to children. We have openings for short-term workshop leaders and leaders in our cribbery-kindergarten classrooms. Or become a classroom shepherd, acting as a “helping hand” for the class.  Lesson materials and support provided!  Stop by the downstairs Children's Ministry Table on Sundays to learn more.
