Officers
The officers in a Presbyterian Church are women and men with particular gifts who share in the discernment of God's Spirit and the leading of God's people.
They are elected for three-year terms, although their ordination as elders and/or deacons remains with them for life. Ruling elders are chosen by the congregation to strengthen and nurture the congregation's faith and life. Deacons are called to ministries of compassion, showing the love of Christ to the poor, hungry, friendless, oppressed, and needy.
